Upgrading the HCTL-1100 is now possible
What is an upgrade?
The MCP-1200 General Purpose Motion Control IC has been developed by Mektronix Technology to provide an easy upgrade path from the HCTL-1100 products. This upgrade allows a "plug-in" replacement of the HCTL-1100 in the default compatibility mode. With the exception of requiring a faster clock frequency, there are only minor differences between the IC's. New enhancements then can be enabled in software to provide more advanced features.
